In cooperation with the Museum Ulm, this exhibition aims to transform the biographies of Jewish holocaust victims from printed paper into a digital narrative.

Anonymous

This exhibition explores the concept of “mass”, showcasing the amount of Jews that fell victim to the holocaust. Various of their stories were documented and should not be forgotten. By walking through the exhibit, the visitors can become acquainted with their stories and destinies.

The exhibition opens with a number of banners made of translucent fabric that document the aftermath of the "Shoa" - they bear the names of the Jewish citizens who lived in Ulm at that time. The exhibits themselves are arranged in an L-shape and, through blurred portraits, create an anonymous spatial image that picks up on the concept of "mass".

Personal

Within the steles, visitors can discover individual fates. A timeline on the wall describes the history of the families, from beginning to end. The life story is divided into various distinctive sections.

Interactive

In-depth content is projected in sections onto a panel that can be moved by visitors. This panel runs along a track and tells the stories of the jews of Ulm in their individual phases of life.

Model

We realised parts of our concept as a 1:1 model.
